American Me replaces singer, prepares new album

Portland, OR hardcore/punk/metal outfit American Me has announced a revamped lineup, one that no longer includes frontman Tony Tataje (aka Tony Mosh). Instead, group founder Brian Blade has taken over the lead vocal slot. The band, who has previously released several albums with Rise Records, expects to release their next full-length later this year. American Me sent Lambgoat the following statement:
"Hey guys (and gals) I know we have been a little quiet on the American Me front lately. But it's time we broke the silence. As you all may know, we have been writing for our new album due out by the end of this year... We want to thank our fans, friends and family for their unending support through our years and hard work in this band. And we plan to continue putting forth the same work that we have been since our inception. That being said, after much deliberation and internal discussion as a band, we have decided that the best way to move forward and give you the best music possible is to have our founding/original member Brian Blade take over lead vocal duties in place of Tony. Brian has been an integral part of the writing process since the band's inception, which includes writing lyrics, guitar parts, bass parts, and also performing some of the classics you guys like solely by himself on the records (Flybag, Whiteout, One Free Kill all solely Brian). You may recognize his voice from those songs or the countless backing vocals on all the albums. We are 100 percent confident he can represent this band the way it needs to be....with professionalism, a humbled personality, and enthusiasm. No ego, no bull shit. We have brought on our last touring guitarist Joe full time while keeping Cam and Brian as the main song writers for AM (like it always has been). "In the meantime, listen to this older AM track with Brian to get an idea of what the vocals will be like for the new stuff: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wzhf7olnbIQ. "We are very excited to start this new chapter of AM and bring this band to the level it has always needed to be in the year 2014! "(Any and all booking, merchandising, management, and contact emails need to be sent to americanmeband@gmail.com)"
