Lambgoat can exclusively report that Pennsylvania's Turmoil has amicably parted ways with Abacus Recordings. Both parties felt that a separation was in the best interests of everyone involved.
When they originally broke up in 2000, Turmoil had still been under contract with Century Media Records, which led to a deal with one-time Century Media imprint Abacus when the group reformed in 2004. Abacus subsequently released the band's "Staring Back" retrospective in 2005.
Turmoil has written several new songs and hopes to release a new full-length in 2007. Now free of contractual obligations with Abacus, Turmoil is actively seeking a new record label and is currently in talks with a few labels. Interested parties should contact the band.
