Malady breaks up, new bands formed

As has been rumored for many weeks, Virginia's Malady have in fact broken up. The group featured former members of pg.99 and City of Caterpillar, and recently released an album with Level Plane Records. Luckily, two new bands have formed in the wake of Malady's demise. Jeff Kane, Jonathan Moore and Kevin Longendyke, Malady's guitarists and bassist, will be hooking up with Darkest Hour drummer Ryan Parrish to record some new material, in addition to the final material Malady had written. The songs will appear on a full-length for Robotic Empire, though the group have yet to announce a name for their project. Meanwhile, Chris Taylor and Johnny Ward (Malady vocalist and drummer) have formed Pygmy Lush with Mike Taylor (Chris' brother, formerly of pg.99, Mannequin, etc.) and Mike Widman (Mannequin) [note: Mannequin is no longer a band]. The group will also be releasing material with Robotic Empire in the future.
