Robotic Empire signs Pink Razors

Richmond, VA band Pink Razors has officially joined the Robotic Empire roster. It should be noted the band plays pop-punk, which the label directly addresses with the following: "This may seem a bit strange as Robotic Empire isn't exactly known for infectious pop-punk releases, but we wouldn't be doing this if they weren't seriously bad ass. The band absolutely smokes live, can drink you under the table and will have you pogoing and singing along the first (and hundredth) time you hear their songs." Robotic Empire will re-release the band's first recording, "Scene Suicide," which was originally issued via cassette. The new release, a CDep, will also feature a bonus acoustic track and remastering by Scott Hull (of Pig Destroyer) at Visceral Sound. The effort will be available from both the band and label on February 3rd, then through stores and distros on April 26th. You can check out two remastered MP3s from the EP here. Meanwhile, catch the band on tour in mid-March: 3/10 Greensboro NC @ TBA 3/11 Asheville NC @ Harvest Records 3/12 Chatanooga TN @ TBA 3/13 Athens GA @ TBA 3/14 Columbia SC @ TBA 3/15 Orlando FL @ Will's Pub w/ New Mexican Disaster Squad 3/16 Ft. Robotic Empire = suck. The new Sum 41 album, however, is "seriously bad ass."

Scott Hull is going to remaster a pop-punk record? Has hell just frozen over or what?

achilous 1/12/2005 12:46:41 PM

There are good pop punk bands out there. You just have to find it. Pink Razors is one of those bands. Plus, none of you scene fcks complained when this band signed The Now! So shut up.

achilous 1/12/2005 2:55:02 PM

I meant to say Stop It! ....oops

buckwheat 1/12/2005 6:50:57 PM

...that's because Stop It! fit in with Robotic Empire. And I can take pop punk if its good, but this band really sucks.

theyuppiegrinder 1/12/2005 10:48:39 PM

...how the fck can daughters and this band be on the same label..

shaihulud2k1 1/13/2005 8:19:16 PM
