ex-Cynic, Death drummer Sean Reinert dies

Sean Reinert, founding drummer of influential progressive metal/technical death metal band Cynic, has died at the age of 48. Reinert was reportedly found unresponsive at his home in California on Friday (January 24) night. No cause of death has been disclosed. Reinert was a member of Cynic from their inception in 1987 until his exit in 2015. He was also briefly a member of Death and performed on their 1991 album, Human. Additionally, Reinert has spent time in a handful of other bands, including Gordion Knot, Aghora, and Æon Spoke
