Richmond, Virginia metal act Lamb Of God has been writing material for their next studio album off and on since last fall. It looks as if the proceedings have progressed to the pre-production stage, as the band has now been joined in their Richmond practice space by producer and engineer Josh Wilbur (Gojira, Hatebreed), who helmed Lamb of God's last two albums, Wrath and Resolution. A photo of Wilbur in said practice space can be seen above.

Holy shit get rid of Josh Wilbur. The last two albums sound like shit both songwriting wise and production. Sacrament and Ashes with Machine were a thousand times better.
Great, because wrath and resolution were terrible. How about another new american gospel or as the palaces burn. Those were good. Not this lame "groove metal" they've been trying to do.
Production-wise the last two albums were absolutely terrible. Esoecially the mixdkwns. Literally unlistenable because of the amount of clipping and lack of dynamic range. I'll pass on this one thanks
i think they did Sacrament at a studio called The Sound of Music, which has a notorious reputation in RVA for ripping people off and borrowing equipment never to be seen again. So going back to the Sacrament sound probably isnt an option.
Nope, Sacrament was recorded at The Machine Shop - which is a great studio still producing good records.
