Deathwish Inc. signs Deafheaven

Deathwish Inc. has officially added San Francisco, CA band Deafheaven to its roster. Deathwish states the following relative to the group's output: "Their hybrid musical approach is outright stunning. A melding of epic Post Rock leanings (Envy, Godspeed You! Black Emperor) with experimental Black Metal (Xasthur, Weakling, Leviathan), and classic era "Screamo" (Orchid, Crimson Curse) into something never successfully experienced before." Deafheaven, who released a self-titled demo this past summer, will enter the studio this winter to record a new album titled "Roads To Judah." The effort will be tracked by Jack Shirley (Funeral Diner, Loma Prieta) and will surface next year. A track from the aforementioned demo can be heard below: Meanwhile, the group will be touring on the West Coast next month: 01/5 San Francisco, CA @ Five Points Art House 01/7 Olympia, WA @ The Northern w/ Owen Hart 01/8 Seattle, WA @ Black Lodge w/ Owen Hart 01/9 Portland, OR @ Rotture 01/10 Santa Cruz, CA @ 150 Pioneer 01/11 Fresno, CA @ Neighborhood Cafe 01/12 Las Vegas, NV @ Gogo Gallery 01/13 Mesa, AZ @ Nile Underground 01/14: San Diego, CA @ Che Cafe 01/15: Carson, CA @ The Blacktop
