Official press release:
Chicago-based progressive metal hybrid Born of Osiris have announced their new album "A Higher Place," which is scheduled to be released via Sumerian Records in June to coincide with the band's second appearance on the Summer Slaughter Tour.
Guitarist Lee commented on the new record: "The songs are a much more mature evolution of what we were doing before; with the new album, you can expect longer, more developed material. For the fans who feel like they've been waiting for a long time or feel like they're in the dark on it, it's all for the better. I don't feel that A Higher Place is really what most people are expecting; it will be so much more. This is the best material we've written so far and we're very proud of it.”
"We're really excited for the Summer Slaughter Tour.” Lee continues. "It's really going to be a good tour and this year we've got a higher slot on the bill. It will be great to see how the tour has grown and how we've grown as a band." Born of Osiris will hit the road from June 5th through July 7th with Necrophagist, Suffocation, Darkest Hour, Winds of Plague, Ensiferum, and more.
