Ingested unveil first single from new EP
Official press release:
Manchester, UK based worldwide slam kings Ingested have released "Mouth of the Abyss," the first single from their forthcoming new EP titled The Call of the Void, today at Exclaim.
The Call of the Void is the follow up to the group's massive and career defining fourth album The Level Above Human, and will see a June 14 release date via Unique Leader.
Recorded by Nico Beninato at Kimera Recordings in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, John Hinde at Futureworks Studios in Manchester, UK, and guitarist Sam Yates and mixed/mastered by Christian Donaldson at The Grid (Cryptopsy, Beneath the Massacre) in Montreal, QC, the effort contains four new atmospheric, dark, and riff heavy tracks that see the group expanding on their long standing vicious sound.
Drummer Lyn Jeffs commented on the release, "Our new EP isn't just material for materials sake or a stop gap between albums, this is something we feel is an important evolution in our style and is a piece of music that will again transcend the genre of slam. We feel immensely proud of The Call Of The Void, it is something we have worked hard on to develop while on the road so much of 2018. It is darker, riff-heavy and atmospheric but still has all the ingredients that make Ingested what it is."
