Meshuggah's new album, Koloss, has given Nuclear Blast USA their highest sales and Billboard 200 debuts ever.
Meshuggah's new album, Koloss, solid 18,342 copies in its debut week, debuting at #17 on the Billboard 200. These figures give Koloss the highest first-week sales and Billboard debut position in the history of Nuclear Blast Records USA.
The band commented: "Great news! Guess all the efforts, the covert sessions, and painstaking, soul-numbing seances performed to reach the souls of former chart toppers - now in the life beyond – have finally come to fruition! We thank them and we thank you, our fans! We just made an album. You guys put it on the charts!"
For comparison's sake, the band's last album, 2008's ObZen, debuted at #59 with roughly 11,500 copies sold.
