James Hart, vocalist for recently disbanded Eighteen Visions, has now started a solo rock project. Hart has released the following statement:
"I know that most of you feel that my old band Eighteen Visions split abruptly. That really wasn't the case. 18V had been a band for 10+ years. I think it just got to the point where we all had different goals and ideas for the band on a musical and touring basis. We all felt it was time to move on to something fresh and new.
I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity this last May to meet and write with songwriter/producer Zac Maloy. He fronted 90's rock band the Nixons and has written songs with and for Daughtry, Bowling For Soup, Default, The Pearls and many more.
I went out to Tulsa, OK in May with one goal in mind...to write the best songs I possibly could. Zac and I really hit it off and worked well together. We got 4 amazing songs written in 5 days of work. The song you have heard on my page 'Deadend Roads' is a product of that retreat.
After I returned home I was invited back for another writing retreat. I was there once again just this last week for about 10 days and got another 7 songs written. I am extremely excited about everything that has gone on so far.
I have also done a bit of writing with Keith Barney (Eighteen Visions/Never Enough) and Syn Gates (Avenged Sevenfold). I look forward to writing with more great musicians and songwriters from the rock world soon.
For all of my fans from the old school 18V days to the new fans I am just now acquiring...THANK YOU! I appreciate the undying support."
