Drummer Marshall Kilpatric, formerly of Today Is The Day, and most recently of The Esoteric, has officially joined Black Light Burns, an alternative outfit fronted by Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit fame. The band also features Danny Lohner (A Perfect Circle). You can check out the group here. The Esoteric officially announced Kilpatric's departure in early-January. Kilpatric has issued the following statement:
"I have officially joined Black Light Burns. For anyone not in the know, it is rounded out by Wes Borland, Danny Lohner, and Nick Annis. I am very excited and eager to begin a new chapter amongst artists who I consider innately talented and highly accomplished. I feel as though I finally have found a group comprised of artisans in a dying age where integrity, initiative, and risk are taken for granted and traded for instant gratification and comfort. I cannot wait for everyone to hear, see, and experience what is in store with us. For everyone who has stood by me and been there along the way for all of the obstacles and difficulty, thank you."
