The lengthy relationship between the band Sepultura and Roadrunner Records is now officially over. Here's a statement from the label: "As you may have read elsewhere, Sepultura and Roadrunner have mutually parted ways at the end of their contract. We'll think you'll agree they have been and still are one of the finest bands in metal." One is forced to speculate that Sepultura's sagging record sales are to blame. Yes, the contract was over, but Roadrunner would presumably resign a band quickly if they were moderately profitable.
