Accoring to ChartAttack.com, Winnipeg-based band Burnthe8track has amicably left Abacus Recordings, with whom they signed in 2003. The group had been preparing to release a new album this spring. Frontman Derek Kun told ChartAttack:
"We're in the process of finishing off a new record deal, so we don't have an exact date yet. We just didn't think that Abacus was the best fit for us, so we bought out the record and are in the process of sealing that right now."
