TTDTE loses practice space, gear in fire

Earlier this week, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza had their Tennessee practice space destroyed in a fire. The band estimates their losses at $15,000. Here's a photo of the aftermath. The following statement has been issued: "Last night our practice space burned down that also had 10-15 other bands rooms attached. If you ever wanted a Danza shirt, CD, whatever, definitely this is the time to buy. The june 30th Knoxville date is without a doubt still happening as well as is the July, Aug. and Sept. tour. We ain't letting this shit stop that, but it will definitely curb our writing for the next CD until we get new equipment as we lost about $15,000. If you are at any of the other bands' shows that also suffered this loss, definitely help in any way possible."

This is why you take out insurance policies on musical equipment when it is your primary source of income. Bummer for these guys, but come on...

ITSFUCKINGJUSTIN 6/16/2006 10:49:58 AM

Eat aids lazio. Even if they had insurance you know the company would say.. oh buy you didnt have fire insurance. This policy only covers floods and hobo attacks or some shit. Insurance is a scam

they do have insurance, but that doesnt cover everything, and claims don't payout for a long time.

Ohhhhh 6/16/2006 9:27:34 PM

its funny when 16 year olds bitch and whine about insurance as if they think it's the best thing in the world. apparently everyone thinks its free as well.

LazioRoma 6/16/2006 11:06:36 PM

Although Insurance Policies cost money each month, usually, particularly for things such as this, the payments are never more than 50 bucks a month...

LazioRoma 6/16/2006 11:07:14 PM

When you share a practice space, you open yourself up to that much more damage/theft. It would've been smart. Insurance IS the smart thing when you're TALKING ABOUT YOUR CAREER/LIVELIHOOD. You fcking retards.

don't care for this band, but losing all your gear in a fire definitely sucks a fat dck, whether you do or don't have insurance on your gear.
