Jason Roeder (Neurosis, Sleep) has apparently retired from the live stage. It is unclear what prompted the decision, but the drummer has already started the process of selling his equipment.
He shared the following message on his Instagram account:
I used to go on stage and pretend I was supposed to be there.
He has since commented on selling his equipment as well:
I am no longer a touring musician so I will be selling off most (possibly all) of my equipment and belongings.
I can't stand FB marketplace so I'll be posting up here and on CL. Drums and cymbals, etc up soon.

Solid drummer with a solid pedigree... sad to see him go.
One band fell apart and isn't around, with the label heshing out whatever stock they got left. One band doesn't do much, with their label putting out vanity releases every 4/20. Also, shout out to both drummers from Sleep opting to retire at some point. Sounds like Hakius had the happier ending of the two judging by this depressed post.
