A Perfect Circle former drummer Josh Freese (Foo Fighters) returns on tour w/ Primus and Puscifer

A Perfect Circle has confirmed the return of drummer Josh Freese for a portion of the band's upcoming spring tour. This will be Freese's first time touring with the band in 13 years. 

He will be joining the group for their run with Primus and Puscifer in celebration of Maynard James Keenan's approaching 60th birthday, which is being celebrated by the tour, along with a new EP. The tour will feature unique collaborative sets by all three bands each night.

Freese, who currently plays with Foo Fighters, will be slapping skins with A Perfect Circle until the Hollywood Bowl show on April 20. After that, he will shift his focus to Foo Fighters' rehearsals and subsequent spring touring. Gunnar Olsen from Puscifer will then take over drumming duties, with a possible cameo from Primus drummer Tim Alexander. 

Freese was excited about rejoining A Perfect Circle, posting:

Happy to report that for the first time in 13 years I'll be going out with A Perfect Circle on the upcoming Sessanta tour. Due to my schedule with the Foo Fighters I'll be having to jump off after the Hollywood Bowl on April 20. Gunnar from Puscifer will be filling in on the remaining dates (maybe a little Tim Alexander too?)

There's a chance I'll be able to show up to another gig or two after that if time allows but for now that's the plan. A Perfect Circle has always been a very special band for me and I'm really looking forward to getting out and playing these songs again.
