Foo Fighters announce new drummer Josh Freese (The Vandals) during livestream event

After months of rumors and speculation circulating in the music industry, Foo Fighters have finally revealed their new drummer. During their May 21 livestream at their own Studio 606 in Los Angeles, CA, the band announced that Josh Freese would be joining their ranks.

Freese brings with him a wealth of experience, having played with various well-known bands over the years. Some of his most notable collaborations include A Perfect Circle, Guns N' Roses, and Nine Inch Nails. In addition, Freese has also been a member of his own band, The Vandals, for quite some time.

Along the way, Freese has also racked up numerous credits on pop songs and albums far and wide including drumming on Meredith Brooks' "Bitch," Chris Cornell's "Can't Change Me," the Michael Bublé hit "Haven't Met You Yet," and the classic nu metal track "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence
