Throwdown added to Furnace Fest, first U.S. show since 2011

Another announcement, another reunion. Furnace Fest has announced the addition of Orange County's Throwdown. This will not only be Throwdown's first show together since 2015 but also their first show in the United States in over a decade.
The lineup for the announced reunion will be vocalist Dave Peters, guitarist Mark Choiniere, bassist Matt Mentley, and drummer Ben Dissault as they appeared on 2007's Venom & Tears.
The group is also planning to release a 20-year anniversary of Haymaker, which was released July 1, 2003.

Here for the sweaty shirtless hunk pics! Thank you LG!
I would knock out bortslob during never backdoor. That clown is a mark bitch
Their best song is the Baby Got Back cover.
Haymaker was my shit back in the day. Is that dude holding a roll of toilet paper
should change their name to Far Beyond Driven. Their later albums sound precisely like Pantera. Entirely derivative to the point of humor.
Inkongudunk 57 minutes ago Throwdown without Keith on vocals is trash and they should just give up
there was a Beyond Repair reunion show in OC with Keith a few months ago
posers are going to act like they were around in early 00s when haymaker was hittin. get martyr AD, a perfect murder, full blown chaos, the red chord and chimaira. then i'll go. too many sissy acts to wade thru

" anonymous 27 minutes ago there was a Beyond Repair reunion show in OC with Keith a few months ago" Prove it.
*That show isn't until July 28th which is part of the Indecision 30th Anniversary Show
Dave Peters on Bass > Dave Peters on vocals.
2002 Jim Grimes Birthday Show in Chicago. The Eighteen Visions/Throwdown/Terror/Underoath tour was in town the night before and the night of. Tour got added to the bill before the tour played The Fireside Bowl. Shit was retarded.
Drive Me Dead and You Don't Have To Be Blood are still untouchable. Get the f*ck out if you think otherwise.
All the kids who claimed to like this band are now on to other shit.

The "scene" really went to shit after bands like Eighteen Visions and Throwdown changed their sound.
I bought Haymaker when it was released. Shit slapped then and it slaps now. Keith Barney is one of the best to do it when it comes to heavy riffs/guitar tone. I would be into a new record if he took over guitar duties again and they cut all that Pantera pole-stroke session crap out.
"posers are going to act like they were around in early 00s when haymaker was hittin. get martyr AD, a perfect murder, full blown chaos, the red chord and chimaira. then i'll go. too many sissy acts to wade thru" I was around, and only nerds who were still dick hard over Hatebreed and mosh metal kids with lip piercings listened to Throwdown. Nice work outing yourself as one of the two.
"Throwdown without Keith on vocals is trash and they should just give up" 100%
This is the pantera cover band version of the band…..na no thanks
Throdown/The chariot,It dies today tour...old knitting factory big room in NYC 2005. It dies today in full mascara/shirts with ties....place was a blood bath. Throwdown comes on, moshing through the doors, it was SEX. Chariot OG lineup (best lineup) loud as HELL, no talking between songs. Slept with the guitarist "Taco" good times
Saw Dave Peters at the beach two weeks ago. Had the body of a Simpson character now
For my family forever…..STRAIGHT f*ckING EDGE
Throwdown at Showcase Theatre in Corona, absolutely punishing. You had to be there! Best shows, sketchy venue, great energy. Happy for you guys!
Also, that lineup Throwdown/It Dies Today/Chariot was at Showcase…so heavy it should have been illegal. Support people or f*ck off.
top 5 breakdowns ever coincidentally all from same era of metalcore (would know was there) martyr AD - bring out your dead throwdown -burn shadows fall - power of i and i a perfect murder - time bomb walls of jericho - all hail the dead
Nah, dogg. The breakdown on the first Martyr song on Human Condition smokes that.
"Stilleto" is the decade defining breakdown but that list is legit
This version of the band always sounded like a bad bury your dead coverband.
the list is good. stiletto and memphis also good. you are all making well points. honorable mention the bled - red wedding
Burn still hits hard - I remember watching the IDT dudes jamming on the side of the stage while they were playing the breakdown to Vendetta pre-release. Had to be there…
Im here for 40 year olds waxing poetic over open e chug
God Forbid - Force Fed breakdown. My bandana was fierce.
Perfect. I can't wait to crowd kill everyone who breaks edge in front of me when they play their set.
I'd rather Mark Choinier do a Risk Taken reunion.
^ don't talk metalcore, you weren't at SoTU. it's not your "thing"
^shut ya face Devin "strapping young jock strapp."
Bet the only reason this happened was to spite the Beyond Repair shows
Throwdown without Keith on vocals is trash and they should just give up.<---- there already is one Godsmack, the world does Not need another one. Dave Peters eater would stand to differ.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aNfUaRx_0Fs&t=392s&pp=ygUcVGhyb3dkb3duIGNrdWIga3JvbWUgbmogMjAwMQ%3D%3D Throwdown in 2001 to seeing them in 2005 was night and day. Completely different crowd when they started playing with the white belt bands in the mid-2000s.
Saved you a scroll: Dave and Keith are both good dudes and dads, both versions of the band have fans, some people like both, some people only like one. The average IQ level of a 2023 lambgoat commenter is 60. Including me. Music isn't that serious.
