Vulvodynia pay tribute to Trevor Strnad with new melodic death metal single "Eulogy of Ashes"

South African death metal group Vulvodynia has unveiled their latest standalone single, "Eulogy of Ashes," which showcases a more melodic death metal sound for the band. The song's lyrics pay homage to a beloved fallen king while exploring themes of death, legacy, and the afterlife. As explained on their Bandcamp page, the new track was written as an ode to the late Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder.
Speaking on the release, vocalist, Duncan Bentley shares:
"We wanted to try something different with this song and incorporate more melody while still keeping the aggressive edge that fans expect from us, The lyrics are inspired by the idea that death is not the end, and that even after we're gone, our art and our legacy can continue to live on and inspire others."
