Megadeth bassist David Ellefson denies grooming allegations

Over the weekend Megadeth co-founder and bassist David Ellefson found himself at the receiving end of some serious allegations on social media after video surfaced of him conversing with a female said to be underage. This morning Ellefson issued a statement in which he says that the "private and personal conversations and interactions" were "taken out of context" and "released with ill intention by a third party who was not authorized to have them or share them." Furthermore, Ellefson shared an exculpatory statement purportedly from the woman with whom he conversed, who says that she initiated the conversations and was not underage.
