ex-Oh, Sleeper bassist Lucas Starr passes away

Lucas Starr, formerly of Oh, Sleeper and most recently of Terminal, passed away in the early morning hours of December 7 at home in Fort Worth, TX. Starr, age 34, had been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer this past summer. A life celebration service will be held at City On A Hill Church, 1140 Morrison Dr. Fort Worth on Sat, Dec 15 at 2 PM. Starr performed on Oh, Sleeper's first three records before exiting the band in 2011. Former Oh, Sleeper bandmate Shane Blay offered up the following tribute via Instagram:

I think the lambgoat comments section being genuinely nice here is a true testimony to his character. Lucas was always great to anyone he passed and a truly loved person here in DFW. Rest in peace.

Great man who played great tunes with a ton of heart, he will be missed greatly by everyone that had the joy of listening to his craft. Son of the morning is a favorite album of mine and his contribution to what we know as modern awesomeness in the metal world will greatly be missed by many of us. much love! fck cancer!
