Too Pure To Die vocalist undergoes emergency surgery

Too Pure To Die vocalist in hospital Brett Oeltjenbruns, vocalist of Iowa hardcore/metal act Too Pure To Die, has been hospitalized for the past day and was scheduled to undergo surgery today in California. The band has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help with expenses, including flying out Oeltjenbruns' family. Too Pure To Die issued two updates on the matter within the past 24 hours:
"We just need to give everyone an update. Our vocalist Bret was having back problems; he flew out to California anyways and it got progressively worse. We took him to the ER and he is now lined up to have emergency surgery. We will still be performing tonight with Bleeding Through in Santa Ana with our bass player Joe Ellis on vocals." ... "As most of you saw our post earlier about our vocalist Bret, he is having back surgery in California at 10am. We are funding to bring his family out to visit him as well as all the expenses surrounding this situation. Anything helps no donation is too small! Thank you everyone!"
