Mastodon detail new EP, appear on 'Game of Thrones'

Details have been revealed regarding Mastodon's forthcoming record, Cold Dark Place. The EP will hit streets on September 22 through Reprise Records and features four previously unreleased tracks produced (separately) by Brendan O'Brien and Nick Raskulinecz amidst two different recording sessions. Song titles include "Toe To Toes," "North Side Star," "Blue Walsh," and "Cold Dark Place." In related news, members of Mastodon once again appeared on an episode of Game of Thrones. Specifically, drummer Brann Dailor and guitarist Brent Hinds appeared as members of the White Walker army on last night's season finale of the aforementioned HBO series.
