Official press release:
Tragic Hero Records is proud to welcome I Set My Friends On Fire to its strong roster of artists and the company is excited about the upcoming 2017 release. After being on the road for over a year without label support and the challenges that can bring, the band decided a partnership with Tragic Hero would be a perfect fit. Guitarist Nate Blasdell explains, "we are super excited to join a label that has played a role in so many lives including our own. We spent the last year touring completely independently and weren't sure if we were ever going to sign to a label again or not, it was the question asked to us constantly. We found a team that has put all their faith in us and our crazy ideas and we couldn't be more fortunate."
I Set My Friends On Fire is excited to premiere the new single and first music video in five years, "My Uzi Holds A Hundred Round Conscience." For their first new music in almost a year, the band has gone back to their roots and the original ISMFOF sound. "The initial plan for the single was to go back to the same producer that recorded 'You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter' After discussing it a bit, we decided that even though we did want to go back to the original ISMFOF sound on this release, we also wanted to add a new twist with it." Blasdell continues, "ISMFOF's sound originated off of different backgrounds and combining a bunch of different genres. This single will probably be one of the lighter tracks, as we do want to bring back that heavy aspect, but for finding our direction, we couldn't be happier with the outcome."
"My Uzi Holds A Hundred Round Conscience" is available along with limited edition merch exclusively at Merchbucket.
