Gaslight Anthem guitarist launches metal band

Official press release: Servitude is a New Jersey metal band formed by guitarist, Alex Rosamilia (The Gaslight Anthem, ex-The Killing Gift) and vocalist, Dan Pelic. Old friends since meeting long ago in the New Brunswick music scene, the two previously played together in the Jersey metalcore band Something About Death or Dying. Wishing to further pursue heavy music together, the two began writing the music on guitar and drums in early 2013. They later recruited Rosamilia's guitar tech and friend, Brad Clifford (ex-Poison The Well, Sincebyman), to play second guitar, and mutual friends Corey Perez (Ensign, I Am The Avalanche, ex-Let Me Run) and Eric Schnee (Organ Dealer, ex-The Binding) on bass and drums, respectively. After greater developing the music in late 2013 together, Rosamilia, Pelic, Perez, and Schnee demoed the songs and sent them to Clifford while he was home in Wisconsin. He wrote his parts and recording took place in New Jersey during everyone's spare time in late 2014 through July 2015. Frank Marra at Treehouse Sound engineered and mixed the five-song E.P. now titled No Foxhole Prayers. No Foxhole Prayers will see a proper release through Rosamilia's own Human Blood Records in late fall or early winter 2015. Servitude looks forward to making their contribution to heavy music worldwide. Servitude will play their first show on July 31, 2015 at The Funhouse at 32 Center Street in Jersey City with friends: Sydbarret., Dutchguts, and In Angles.

This is actually somehow pretty cool. Was expecting it to be terrible. That logo though..... wow. One of the worst logos/album covers ever created.

Not bad. Reminds me of metalcore in the early 2000s.
