After roughly 18 months of writing, post-hardcore band The Saddest Landscape entered the studio today to begin tracking their fifth studio album. Recording is taking place with engineer Jay Maas (Defeater, Bane).

Ugh, I always roll my eyes at the "skramz" label. Screamo didn't sound cool or underground enough so some doofuses come up with a new genre title. Its just like when the new jacks started calling grindcore "power violence" to sound more hardcore.

LOL at the douchenozzle who thinks grind and powerviolence are the same thing. They're not. Also, skramz is a term that came from kids/bands that are actually influenced by REAL screamo (Saetia, You and I, etc.) as a means to separate themselves from douchebag mainstream bands/magazines that tried to co-opt the term, like idiots who started labeling Hawthorne Heights and Silverstein as such.
