Varg Vikernes found guilty of hate crimes

Black metal musician Kristian "Varg" Vikernes, has been found guilty by a French court of inciting racial hatred and glorifying war crimes through his blog postings. The court handed Vikernes a six-month suspended sentence and fined him roughly $10,000. Vikernes, who was not present for the verdict, has denied authoring the blogs in question. As you may recall, the Norwegian was originally arrested last July in France on suspicion of plotting terror attacks. He was released shortly thereafter due to a lack of evidence.
