I Am Hollywood was awful. Old straightedge shows at Java Jazz ten years ago are stoked.

Sweet mother of God, this is incredible. This band is one of my favorites and for a damn good reason. This is mind-numbingly awesome.

HIL can do no wrong to me. I am a huge fan of where this album is headed.

^not as much as me, I'd hate to bash you but im wearing a Haste The Day shirt right now

anonymous 6/17/2014 3:13:14 PM

Was a fan until they started to sound like Hinder, Seether, Linken Park, etc.

Screams are great, cleans ruin the song.

anonymous 6/17/2014 4:57:40 PM

This is tons better than their earlier albums, so much more visceral?

anonymous 6/17/2014 5:00:05 PM

^^^^^I can see why you'd question visceral, I think you meant 2 say visual cuz it def aint visceral

Love the old heavier melodic stuff like clouds and mushroom river diner with a gypsy or best in mexico.. all china whites are good but he is amazing with his lyrics and i will always be a fan

"Was a fan until they started to sound like Hinder, Seether, Linken Park, etc." Hahaha nice try.

HIL is one of the few bands to actually evolve, challenge and change each album while still maintaining their unique sound and whimsical format. People who don't like HIL just haven't heard them appropriately and i've been creating new fans by showing them their evolution and structure throughout the years. I'm so stoked for this record and I love the tone they went for this time so far.

Fu*kin sweet titz.

I'm all for bands evolving, but just because a band changes their sound drastically doesn't automatically mean that they've "evolved". This is fall the fck to sleep music. Absolutely terrible. What happened to his vocals? Am I the only one on this thread hearing this shit?

anonymous 6/18/2014 10:25:23 AM

I know people hate on He Is Legend and I'm trying not to be biased with my opinion but fck, this is undeniably a great song.

10 bucks says they can't pull off these new songs live without Mitch. Kinda like the last album he wrote for them.

anonymous 6/18/2014 10:24:17 PM

Well the reign of China White has ended. Honestly, I'm kind of sad.

anonymous 6/20/2014 7:39:08 AM

"10 bucks says they can't pull off these new songs live without Mitch. Kinda like the last album he wrote for them." They do. "I Am Hollywood was awful." Good thing they don't like that album anymore either, then.
