Varg Vikernes released from custody

After being held by French authorities for several days, Varg Vikernes has now been released. Vikernes, 40, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of planning violence of some sort. He was released earlier today, while his 25 year-old French wife, Marie Cachet, was released yesterday evening. According to the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, Vikernes will still have to appear before a court in a few weeks for "breach of racism law in France." Prior to being arrested, Vikernes was being monitored by police and had apparently engaged in Internet hate speech against Jews and Muslims. After Cachet purchased four firearms during the past month, a police case against the couple was mounted, culminating in their arrest earlier this wekk.
