why cant any bands do crowd funding and not receive a bunch of hate? I have never seen oh, sleeper roll around in a luxury tour bus like many of your other favorite bands. Give these guys the respect they deserve for all the hard work they put into touring and their dedication to putting out some of the best music in the scene. we should be thankful that they continue to tour and give up so many comforts of home and personal lives to serve their fans. I like how Crowd-Funding is only okay if Misery Signals does it. If it's any other band, they're just greedy jerks.
Every band needs money somehow. This is really just a way to pre-order the album directly from the band. For bands that leave their label, this actually makes plenty of sense. Oh Sleeper was on SolidState which is a notoriously greedy label that pays its bands next to nothing. Oh Sleeper is doing nothing wrong, whether you like their music or not.
I have been on tour, yes it was hard. Made only 100$ a night barely enough to make it to the next state. However this band actually has fans that will buy their merch, promoters that won't fck them, guarentees much bigger than the ones we were getting, and could be backed by a label. This is just an excuse for them not to have to pay for shit out their own pocket, and considering everything i've mentioned above, they just don't want to reinvest any of their money into the band.
They're a good band. They made better music then any of you idiots spamming stupid hateful comment like this. Oh and they made they're goal. So just shows how much they know. :D Go back to listening suicide silence, because the vocalist wanted god to prove he was real by striking him dead....How is that guy again?
