As you may recall, Floridian grindcore band Maruta called it quits in late-2011 after putting out two albums with Willowtip Records. If you were bummed out by said break-up, you'll be glad to know that the group has now reformed and is working on a new album. Here's the official word from vocalist Mitchell Luna:
"We swore we were done with making bad life choices back in 2011... but the desire to play music that is too grind for the death metal kids, and too death metal for the grind kids is way too strong. we have decided to get back together and start working on a new record that will eventually see the light of day. We are going to take our time with the new material, and only play off shows here and there until it is complete. Cheers!"
