Facedown Records signs The Burial

Official press release: The Burial have developed and grown as a band immensely since starting in 2005. After releases on Strike First Records and Sancrosant Records, they are now signed to Facedown Records for the release of their new album Lights and Perfections. Their third release is a dynamic, progressive metal album that is as powerful as it is convicting, both musically and lyrically. The four individuals that make up The Burial are masters of their craft and it shows. A follow up to 2010's The Winepress, Lights and Perfections was recorded at Random Awesome Studios (A Plea For Purging), and will be released March 27, 2012 on Facedown Records. "We are so grateful to be a part of the label and are stoked to hit the road with new material," says Todd Hatfield. You can hear the first song from their new album "Pearls; The Frailty of Matter" here:

I would like that song way more if it was accompanied by a music video staring the innovator of violence, Tommy Dreamer

Try commenting on the band itself instead of wasting bandwidth. :)

If you're a christian metalcore band, I am convinced at some point facedown / solidstate will want you

proud of you dudes!

I am not religious and usually feel alienated by "Christian" bands when they force their message down my throat. This song does have a "Christian" message and references but by staying ambiguous enough it isn't totally alienating. Musically this is real good. I will keep them on my radar so long as they don't get too religiously specific in their lyrics.

I_atemylamb 2/4/2012 2:24:41 PM

Oh boy. Who will they ever sign after the burial?

anonymous 2/4/2012 3:29:16 PM

@marching_band_rules How astute of you!

TheLoudestGuyInTheRoom 2/4/2012 3:37:01 PM

Cory Brandan is not stoked, as he feels he is the most prominent person in Christian metal and is entitled to royalties from any band in the genre
