The Dream Is Dead news and notes

Much has been going on with Indianapolis band The Dream Is Dead as of late. Last month the band, which features former Burn It Down bassist Jason McCash, released a five-song CDep/1-sided 12" on What Else? Records entitled "Letter of Resignation." And next week, the band will be putting out a split 7" with Find Him and Kill Him. This is a limited tour edition 7" (500 copies), as both bands will be touring California together beginning August 16th (dates below). Moreover, in September, the band will be releasing another five-song CDep entitled "Taking Friendly Fire," this time on Escape Artist Records. In related news, the band has parted ways with original drummer Alex Bond. The split was amicable, and largely due to "personal differences." Bond, who will continue on with another project called Pillars to Pieces, has been replaced by Dustin Boltjes, who has done time in some local bands the past few years. Here are the dates for their California tour with Find Him and Kill Him: 8/16 Los Angeles CA @ the Smell w/Youth Riot 8/17 Salinas CA @ Jim Dandy's w/ Over the Top, For the Crown, 6th Chamber 8/18 Berkeley CA @ Gilman w/ Time In Malta, Panic, the Cause 8/19 Santa Cruz CA @ Laurel St. House OR Ventura/Bakersfield 8/23 San Diego CA @ Che Cafe w/ You're Next, Hardesty, Crutch
