Mastodon's new album set for release

Mastodon's latest effort, "The Hunter," has officially been slated for a September 27th release in the U.S. via Reprise Records (the effort will be released by Roadrunner Records elsewhere). A pre-order has been launched at here for a limited-edition package, including a CD/DVD housed in a digipack with an alternative cover, a 20" x 30" lenticular poster featuring the album cover of the standard CD, an Augmented reality experience by Total Immersion that will contain exclusive content only available to this package, an instant download of the band's first new album track, "Black Tongue", and a second download of "Curl Of The Burl," once it becomes available.
