By now you've most likely read Thursday's statement regarding their relationship (or lack there of) with Victory Records. If not, you can find it here. Basically, Thursday had some not so flattering remarks about Victory and the way they operate as a label. Well, today Victory released a statement in response to Thursday's, and as you may have guessed, they were not to happy. Here is what Victory had to say:
"It is regrettable that the members of Thursday wish to voice their imaginary grievances with Victory Records on the Internet and in the press. Victory has fully lived up to its agreements with the group. Thursday has breached those agreements. The members of the group have resorted to misrepresentation and unwarranted character assassination in an attempt to justify retroactively their improper signing of a recording agreement with Lyor Cohen at Island/Def Jam, one of the Universal Music Group labels."
