Minus The Bear signs with Dangerbird Records

Official press release: Dangerbird Records is proud to announce the signing of Seattle-based rockers Minus the Bear to their burgeoning roster. The Silver Lake-based label will release the band's fourth LP this spring. Throughout their career, the quintet has garnered critical praise from the likes of Pitchfork, Spin, URB, Paste and Alternative Press and amassed an ever-growing fanbase as the result of their exciting live show and singular sound which showcases their adroit technical abilities. This signing comes directly on the heels of Dangerbird's announcement that Codeine Velvet Club, the new project of Jon Lawler of Scottish rockers The Fratellis, has been signed for Records and management. Dangerbird Records was co-founded by Jeff Castelaz and Peter Walker in 2004, following the inception of Dangerbird Management, which evolved from Castelaz's longstanding Cast Management. The label currently boasts an impressive roster including Silversun Pickups, Sea Wolf, Darker My Love, Eulogies, The Dears, The One AM Radio, Eric Avery, Bad Veins, Codeine Velvet Club and Dappled Cities. The management division currently represents artists including Eagles of Death Metal, The Dears, Darker My Love, Codeine Velvet Club, as well as producer Tony Hoffer.
