Trustkill signs The Great American Beast

Trustkill Records has officially signed Dayton, Ohio's The Great American Beast. Formed in early-2008 from the ashes of The Red Affair, the band released a five-song EP in 2008. Bassist Pete DiSalvo comments: "I couldn't think of a better way to spend my 25th birthday weekend than celebrating signing to Trustkill Records, a label that really shows that they want us as much as we want them. It's a really nice feeling knowing that your band is appreciated by the people that matter." The group's debut full-length, titled "Domestic Blood," was recorded last summer at Random Awesome! Recording Studio in Saginaw, MI with producer Josh Schroeder (See You Next Tuesday). Trustkill will release the effort in early-2010. In the meantime, you can check out the band online here.

Trustkill needs to put out the releases they've been sitting on first before signing more bands! First Blood's new one was recorded almost a year ago according to the band.

Vynterborn 10/5/2009 3:58:02 PM

Josh Schroeder is a really nice guy, but I really think there are better studios TK could be sending their investment to.

"Trustkill Records, a label that really shows that they want us as much as we want them. It's a really nice feeling knowing that your band is appreciated by the people that matter." man, this band wont last another year, two years tops.

PunishTheLiving 10/5/2009 5:29:11 PM

Trustkill should really stop signing bands because they have cool names.

TheBearKing 10/5/2009 5:33:50 PM

I just wasted five seconds of my life by checking out this band. Praying for a vanflip

UrbanStrike 10/5/2009 5:35:03 PM

It amazes me how many bands with no talent get signed. This sounds exactly like every time I die. Who out there is going "fck we really need more bands that sound like every time i die!"

ToiletFleet 10/5/2009 6:10:07 PM

As much as it isn't good, I'd rather have ten more ETID ripoffs than one more shit band posing as death metal with TOTALLY SICK MOSH PARTS BRO and little else.

UrbanStrike 10/5/2009 6:30:20 PM

I will agree with that statement.

Lochlan 10/5/2009 6:37:34 PM

fck this label.

Turd_Ferguson 10/5/2009 7:11:31 PM

i played with this band earlier this year. 15 kids watched them. 1 of those 15 were actually stoked. this band has no fans in dayton. proof that trustkill will sign anyone nowadays.

Mattapooh 10/6/2009 7:00:30 AM

Prediction: This band will be trashing Trustkill in two years for ripping them off.

xfordirelifesakex 10/6/2009 3:44:45 PM

At least Trustkill isn't signing bands and then releasing embarrassing and disappointing records by those bands anymore...They just sign bands that you know won't produce anything worth buying or listening to.
