Sumerian Records signs Fell Silent

Official press release: Sumerian Records is happy to announce that we have signed UK band Fell Silent. Hailing from Milton Keynes in the UK, Fell Silent incorporate fierce polyrhythmic timings with tuneful but raw vocals and powerful riffing to concoct their own unique style of hard nosed metal. This killer six piece have played shows across the UK with the likes of Skindred, Sikth, Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, and Cult Of Luna, as well as full UK tours with Enter Skikari, Exit Ten, and Devil Sold His Soul, which has helped garner them further shows with the likes of Textures and Akercocke. Label founder Ash Avildsen states: "After hearing the first 40 seconds of Fell Silent’s song 'Immerse' I knew there was something very promising about to happen. After hearing the rest of the song, I knew it was now my duty to get this band in front of as many people as possible. I am very proud to announce Fell Silent as the first overseas Sumerian Records band, and their style of metal is exactly what we started the label on: progressive, brutal, technical but still memorable with challenging but infectious rhythms and amazing uses of melody while still being heavy, dynamic and cutting-edge throughout real displays of songwriting. Keep your eye out for Fell Silent in North America, as we will be making sure to get these boys over here as soon as possible in 2009!" Fell Silent is currently on tour in the UK with Enter Skikari and will be making their way over to the US in early-2009. Expect their debut Sumerian release to hit stores in the US early-2009, and make sure you do not miss this bands amazing live performance when they storm the US on tour. www.myspace.com/fellsilent
