Veil Of Maya signs w/ Sumerian Records

Sumerian Records has officially announced their recent signing of Chicago's Veil Of Maya. The group's new full-length, "The Common Man's Collapse," will hit stores on April 1st. Sumerian founder Ash Avildsen had this to say: "I have a special place in my heart for bands who have stayed together through years of struggling on a DIY level of touring and promotion. This is the world myself and my label manager Shawn both came from. Before Myspace existed, underground metal was a totally different ballgame. Not only does Veil of Maya's work ethic and dedication speak for itself, but so does their level of musicianship and songwriting. Very few bands can authentically mix elements of progressive metal, melodic deathmetal, thrash and hardcore brutality all while keeping the listener constantly interested. Veil of Maya does this and that's why they will have a career for years to come."
