so the shop is f*cking around? i'm assuming you paid for services and they've been stalling but also not coming through on their timeline promises?

VodkaVeins 1/13/2022 9:20:09 AM
What is/was wrong with your truck?

That sucks man, good thing you got it taken care of. I was supposed to get a new transmission, got the same supply shortage excuse, then over a month ago they said they got it in, and now they tell me every time that it'll be done the next day and when I call the next day I get ghosted. I've already paid $1500 of the $2k they quoted, he's just dicking around because he's already got his money, I know he's sending out work ahead of me. I went up there today and lit a fire under their ass, told them I'm done playing and my next move will be initiating a claims case if I don't get results by Monday. I've got all my documentation and shit ready, I'll gladly pay 500 bucks to make this dudes life hell

I manage a parts department at a pretty big dealership and availability has been an absolute nightmare these last two years. From the manufacturer to the freight companies they're all a wreck. Good luck in court. You'll probably spend a bunch and still have to wait with someone else

dog_boner 1/13/2022 9:32:52 AM
At this point I don't give a shit about money or inconvenience. I've got 2 other vehicles anyway. I want this guy to suffer

Barbara 1/13/2022 9:33:18 AM
He won't. At most they'll refund your money.

I've seen this play out a bunch when I worked in the south. You might have better luck but I really doubt it.

dog_boner 1/13/2022 9:37:18 AM
Hence, thread title. I'm going to do shit waaaay differently next time

HOUSE_OF_HORSEKONNEN 1/13/2022 9:37:38 AM
ill make his life hell for 499.99$

my mom is waiting on a rear tail light for her 2018 BMW 440i, one of the most common and mass produced vehicles, and it's going on two months. original estimate was 90 days. all because my stepdad hit it with the lawnmower in the garage lol

evil_hero 1/13/2022 9:39:54 AM
transmission isnt like a gasket they have down at shucks lmao but once the part is sourced, shit should go back in within a day and out the door

dog_boner 1/13/2022 9:43:19 AM
Exactly, I've installed transmissions in less than 3 hours, and did it with a floor jack. I'd do it myself but my time is worth more than that.
