(russia has been clear since 91 about getting Ukraine back so it's not like it's some big surprise) then relying on US aid and the "rush entrance" to the EU that zelensky demanded at the start of the invasion. an interesting question to ask yourself if you "support Ukraine" is why hasn't the EU admitted them yet? accession talks are just now happening after years of warfare. why aren't the other EU countries stepping in immediately to put a stop to this? don't they have a bigger stake in than the US? celene's breakdowns in this thread are actually pretty much on point. but there's a couple more observations worth noting. one is that the Russian sanctions did and do nothing to stop the war. it's just for show. and two why does Russia seem ok with the US providing ukraine with weapons and tech? because every dime of money or every weapon or piece of tech we put into Ukraine is a future Russian asset when the conflict is over. it is not in America's best interest to fund yet another unwinnable war only to hand over all these military assets to russia.
