Post CommentThis interview fused the passion of hypno-birth with the destruction of machine guns.
I know Aaron who played in Cyclops.. lives in my town.. he said this never got released because Dave Whitte hated his drumming on it. Just some trivia and yeah i'm name dropping.. cool interview
steve austin recorded the barrit cd. the barrit cd is the best. thus steve austin is the best. and in the eyes of god is a sickm album as well.
I can't believe I read the whole thing. Holy shit.
i stopped reading this halfway through. All i got to say is that i was hoping this guy would talk about what he is about and that is music. I don't care what his political stance is on ANYTHING. Please don't post interviews like this anymore. Thank you.
steve doesn't really come across as pretentious. admittedly, i only know him from the conversation we had here, but he seems like just a very realistic person. i think the only shit that could really be misconstrued as pretentious could be when he talks about the people he's worked and played with - all of which are pretty remarkable achievements.
I was in a band that recorded with him a while back. Most down to earth and humble guy I have met.
GREAT GREAT GREAT interview. The best one I have ever read here. It's a nice change to read a variety of topics and ideals, as opposed to the silly party stories and scene talk that half of the other bands talk about on here.
Good interview Drew. Made me think. Would have liked some more production questions though.
A good interview with actual substance! Great job! Though be forewarned Lambgoat, this will go over gay posters on this site quicker than a virgin's first f*ck.
and he looks like a skinny hardcore version of Harvey Keitel in that photo.
I hate those bird inlays on the neck of the PRS
Awesome interview. He seems like a really humble and down to earth dude. My only complain is the length of the interview.. Jesuschrist, this is probably the longest one I've seen on Lambgoat.
I gave up giving a damn about this website long ago due to uneducated gay kids making dumbass comments. It's good to see strong substance is still here though, and that not everyone looking at/running lambgoat.com is an idiot (despite political views). Great interview of a great artist/person. I was engaged the entire read. Good questions too. One note: the comments about not being able to change the middle east- not true. It falls into the same idea both you guys talked about later, about 40
Great great great f*cking interview. I had been waiting for this forever and it didn't disappoint. He seems like a really smart guy, not to mention he's got a lot of life experience.
Great interview. Some paragraph separation would of helped though. After awhile it was like looking at a "magic eye" picture.
It was a good conversation rendered as an interview. I've always regarded Steve's shit as some of the most abrasive, bleak and vicious sounding stuff I've ever heard.
Sorry Stone Cold, but being ethnocentric is NOT okay.
too long? if you like this guy's stuff, you'll make it through even the longer paragraphs that maybe could use a little seperation (as someone else pointed out). divide up your reading sessions you gays. i have nothing bad to say about this interview. good variety, loved the graveyard, off the cuff stuff.
Read the whole interview and loved it. This single page on the World Wide Web is a clear representation of why Steve Austin is one of the most real and respectable people on planet earth. I have had private conversations with him that were above and beyond the depth of this interview... however, reading this brought me back to a time when Steve and I were friends and I had the pleasure of playing music in Today is the Day. Unfortunately our career paths did not align and I chose to resign at a h
i haven't hear much of steve's stuff, but that was a damn cool interview. that ghost crap freaked me out. and the comment above mine is pretty interesting.
Great interview. Very insightful guy, this Steve Austin.
Another killer Drew interview. 100% worth the time it took to read.
Steve Austin is a gifted individual and this interview portrays that very well. Thank you for conducting and sharing it online!
what a real dude... drewcifer is officially lambgoat.com's greatest asset

Anybody who says that this isn't a good interview are mostly reading bad interviews I quess...It's great to see a variety of topics flying here and there...And you can most certainly understand who Steve Austin is...A Realistic Down To Earth Dude...For me it seems that he doesn't paint illusions and shit...He just does his own thing...I seriously liked reading this...It Made me laugh ("You can't own an Ipod and act like an anarchist."), it made me think...all the political stuff and his personal
