Converge has their best sales, chart debut to date

The Dusk In Us, the newest album from Massachusetts hardcore/metal/punk act Converge, has debuted at No. 60 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling roughly 9,600 copies in its initial week of release in the United States. The showing marks Converge's best sales and chart debut since their 1990 inception. In other chart results, The Dusk In Us landed at No. 1 on the Hard Rock Albums chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 19 on the Top Album Sales chart -- all career bests for the band. Converge's previous full-length, 2012's All We Love We Leave Behind, sold 6,400 copies in its first week, debuting at No. 70 on the Billboard 200. Axe To Fall, released in 2009, bowed at No. 74 on the Billboard 200, registering 7,400 in first-week sales. Converge first appeared on the Billboard 200 in 2004, when their You Fail Me album peaked at No. 171 after selling 6,050 copies in its first week.
