Tool to reportedly end streaming music services holdout

Tool fans long frustrated by the band's conspicuous absence on streaming music services such as Spotify and Apple Music may soon experience relief. So says a report at Bloomberg.com, which cites "people with knowledge of the matter," who allegedly state that Tool has been negotiating with some of the industry's biggest services. Neither the band nor the aforementioned services responded to Bloomberg's requests for comment. Tool remains one of the few high profile acts still unavailable via the majority of streaming services. It's thought that their supposed change of heart is timed to coincide with the looming release of their new album, the first new Tool album in more than a decade. A release date for the record has yet to be disclosed.
