Century Media pondering major label acquisition

According to Blabbermouth, independent metal and rock label Century Media Records may soon be acquired by a major label. Rumored suitors include Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and Universal, with Sony in "the lead." Century Media founder Robert Kampf would not comment on any negotiations but did admit to Blabbermouth that he's interested in an acquisition "in order to give Century Media a stronger footing at a time of diminishing worldwide sales of sound recordings."
