You may recall that in June King 810 frontman David Gunn and bassist Eugene Gill were charged with the October 2013 beating of a man that left him in critical condition. Not long thereafter, the charges against Gunn were dismissed, while the charges against Gill remained.
According to Michigan news outlet MLive, however, the charges against Gill are in the process of being dropped as well. Here's the scoop from MLive:
Gill's attorney, Clint Perryman, said Friday, Oct. 10, that he was notified prosecutors intended to dismiss the charge after an investigator was able to locate witnesses who said the victim was the actual instigator of the fight.
Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton confirmed that his office would dismiss the case.
"After reviewing additional witness statements, we're not really sure what happened that night," Leyton said. "Justice is best served by a dismissal of the charges. There were just too many conflicting accounts."
