Emmure, The Acacia Strain tour in the works?

We don't like to lend credence to anything that has yet to rise above rumor status, let alone put them in our "news" section, but this one was too interesting to ignore. Yesterday afternoon, a regular (and typically reliable) poster on AbsolutePunk dropped the following tidbit: Emmure and The Acacia Strain touring together?! Scandalous! Hours later, another poster stated, "Yeah, my friend works for the security company that works shows in most venues in Philly. He said the Emmure/TAS tour is happening and coming to Philly." For what it's worth, this same guy says that the co-headline tour will also feature Stray From The Path and Sworn In. On the surface, such a tour would seem highly unlikely given the 2009 altercation between Emmure frontman Frankie Palmeri and The Acacia Strain vocalist Vincent Bennett. However, that brawl is exactly the reason we honestly think this tour just may happen. Hardcore beeves are made to be squashed, and though this one no longer exists behind the scenes (it just doesn't), a tour would officially put the bad blood to pasture. More importantly, it would sell tickets. Stay tuned for dates :-)
