Fan stabbed during Broken Hope show in Texas

Two people were hospitalized following an altercation during Broken Hope's set at Tricky Falls in El Paso, TX. The band is currently on the road supporting Deicide. The fight took place around 11pm and at least one person was sliced in the neck with a boxcutter. Ultimately, two people were taken to University Medical Center with "serious" injuries. Broken Hope reported the following last night: "Just learned a fan got their throat cut with a box cutter during Broken Hope's set tonight in El Paso. Cops and paramedics are all over the place. El Paso, Texas police have arrested a 30 year-old man in connection with an alleged attack during a Broken Hope and Deicide show that left three people hospitalized. alleged assailant at Broken Hope show According to ABC affiliate KVIA, Jesus Ortega has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after he allegedly attacked three people with a box cutter at the Tuesday night concert, which took place at Tricky Falls Night Club in El Paso. Ortega was reportedly involved in an altercation inside the venue bar after which he pulled out a box cutter and slashed three people. All three were taken to area hospitals and expected to survive. Ortega is currently in custody at the El Paso County Detention Facility with bonds totaling just over $150,000.
