Additional details have been announced regarding Converge's forthcoming split 7" EP with Rhode Island punk/hardcore band Dropdead. The release will feature two tracks, one from each band. Both songs were recorded at Kurt Ballou's Godcity studios in early-2011, and mastered by John Golden (Neurosis, Melvins). Converge's contribution is called "Runaway," while Dropdead recorded a song titled "Paths of Glory."
Here's what the official marketing spiel for the two songs: "'Runaway' from Converge is an instant classic for the band, unrelenting in its speed and emotional ferocity from beginning to end. While Dropdead's "Paths of Glory" is an unforgettable political punk/hardcore anthem, that proves that the years behind the band have only strengthened their hold on the battlefront of the true underground."
The split will be available on vinyl and digital formats on June 21st via Deathwish Direct and The Armageddon Label.
